The office of the Divisional Superintendent, ASTC Silchar Division with the assistance of Divisional Engineer and other senior officials shall verify the applications so received and publish a list of eligible applicant Drivers on 01.03.2019 in office Notice Board as well as in ASTC's official website fixing the date(s) of Practical Driving Test of eligible candidates to be fixed in consultation with the undersigned. Candidates may be required to stay for Practical Driving Test till next day also. No expenses on travel and lodging will be borne by ASTC.

Initially, they have to undergo training in the Assam State Transport Corporation for a period of 1 (one) year as Driver cum Conductor. Thereafter, those who found suitable will be engaged on contract basis in ASTC for a certain period which is likely to be extended for further period of time according to the requirement of the drivers In the Corporation from time to time depending upon the number of vehicles operating by the Corporation. Such engagement is purely on temporary basis and subject to termination without notice and assigning any reason thereof. Further, the engagement of the Incumbent Drivers on contract basis shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the Deed of Contract required to be executed by each driver at the lime of their engagement in ASTC and it does not confer any right to such Drivers for their engagement in any regular post/vacancy of the Corporation.
